The why always comes before the how.
30 years in the field, across a wide spectrum : brand strategy, immersive exhibitions, design fiction, visual identity. Chanel, L'Oréal, Helena Rubinstein, Accenture, EY Faber Novel, Kering, Disney.
Trained at École Estienne in typography and calligraphy. I learned to draw the sign before I learned to communicate. That foundation never left.
At Lexis Numérique, I was part of the team that created some of first ARGs (Alternate Reality Games): In Memoriam, Alt-Minds. Hybrid formats bringing together cinema, television and video games into a single narrative where the player becomes part of the story. That's where I learned to treat technology not as an end, but as a narrative material — something that creates immersion, surprise, and genuine engagement.
At Imprudence, a studio I co-founded in 2014 : eleven years building a practice at the intersection of design fiction, creative foresight and creative direction. Gathering weak signals, shaping them into desirable scenarios, making them tangible through artefacts, exhibitions and brand universes. Materialising what doesn't exist yet, to inform what needs to be decided today.
Now Obringer Studio. Working directly with the projects that need a vision — and someone who can carry it from strategy all the way to the final output.
